Public Events :

After one year development, ADAMANT has demonstrated its outcome to the European Commissions. The review meeting was held in Athens International Airport, as early stage of the project, ADAMANT has shown some of the application simulations to the reviewers. The outcome of the review has shown the potential achievements of the project and sketched the outlook of the future development.

The ADAMANT project has been selected by the European Commission as a exhibitor to attend the Madrid Intelligent Transport System (ITS) World Congress. The annual exhibition has attracted manufactures and customers who interested in developing and consuming intelligent transportation product from all over the world. ADAMANT also attracted visitors who were amazed by our presentations and demos. A presentation is available online.

The outcome of ADAMANT project has attracted the magazine "New Scientist" and a inclusive publication has been released in the newest issue (31/01/2004). Below is a screenshot of the release page. You can also download the whole article in full resolution.  (PDF)

 

 

 

The achievement of the ADAMANT project has been selected and published by the latest IST result site which can be found at:

During October 2003, a series of trials of ADAMANT applications have been carried out. These applications were: Security and Surveillance, Flight Information on Demand, Bus arrival time on Demand and Passenger Support System. A wide range of testers (from AIA staff and passengers) has been involved in testing our applications. Analysis shows satisfied results and user acceptance.

  • New exploitations

    A series of new exploration derived form ADAMANT project has been implemented, these includes:

    1. Implementation of operation system derived from FIDS application at Athens airport - used by Information Agents during Olympic period.
    2. Extension to other airports and aspects of passenger support.
    3. Use in the Im@gineIT IST project - Expansion of Passenger Support System - Indoor Guidance system
    4. Exploitation of SLA work through Service Broker Concept adopted by AIA for the Greek Market.
    5. An operation FIDS system that derived from ADAMANT FIDS application has been implemented on PDAs and IP phones in the airport. The main architecture was changed from ADAMANT to give faster response and to give operational levels of security


     

  • Joint research between QMUL and MPI (Macao Polytechnic Institute)

The new joint research centre has been approved by Macao government and fit top priority in Macao strategic plan for research. Applying ADAMANT to Macao ferries is one of first projects. The project is expected to expend the current Passenger Support System and offer personalised support for ferry passengers. Also it will cover various transportation methods and tourism information.

 

ADAMANT project open day has been scheduled at Athens International Airport
on 7th April 2005, starting at 12:00 pm. During the open day, live demonstrations will be scheduled and you will have a chance to try out our innovative services.
